Ordinary plastering mortar strength

Each ton of mortar contains 850 kg of machine-made sand, fineness modulus 2.6, 150 kg of 42.5 cement, and 130 kg of water. The workability is excellent, but the mortar on the wall has been applied for ten days with good surface strength. However, remove the surface of the mortar, the internal strength is poor. What is going on?

Quite normal, the cement added is too small.

150 cement is way too much. Add some flyash. How much did you add with cellulose? I guess it is because the poor of water retention.

Try adding 200g of cellulose ether with a viscosity of 200,000. Better add some slag and fly ash as well.

Usually the cement is enough for ordinary mortar, and also you can add 30-50 kg flyash or stone powder.

120 g of cellulose is too little. How about the water retention rate?
